On Monday, October 10th, ITM Power will be running a Hydrogen Rally involving 12 fuel cell electric vehicles. One route will depart from the company's Wind Hydrogen station in Rotherham and the route will cover 185 miles to the company's Solar Hydrogen fuel station in East London. This will mark the first drive from hydrogen stations using only renewable energy to generate hydrogen on-site.
In March 2017, Dr. Timothy Lipman, Co-Director of the UC Berkeley Transportation Sustainability Research Center, is teaching a new online training course intended to introduce practitioners to the fundamentals of lower-carbon vehicle and fuel/energy systems--low-carbon solutions for a growing world. Dr. Lipman also serves as Director of the Northern California Center for Alternative Transportation Fuels and Advanced Vehicle Technologies (NorthCAT).
Join Executive Director Bill Elrick at the League of Cities and Young Professionals networking event on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 5:30pm–7:00pm at Café Bernardo in Sacramento, CA. Bill Elrick will provide an overview and update on fuel cell vehicles (passenger, bus, etc.) and the growing hydrogen fueling network in California as well as national and international efforts to commercialize the technology. Bill will be driving the new Toyota Mirai to the event and will have staff onsite to support with FAQs.
Join CaFCP staff at the 2016 Science in the Park STEM Festival on Saturday, October 1, 2016, from 9am–2pm. This event will be held in the Alden E. Sports Park, and has a large focus on STEM activities, alternative fuel vehicles as well as sustainable and green living. CaFCP will be on hand with the all new Toyota Mirai fuel cell car to answer any questions about hydrogen filling stations and fuel cell vehicles (passenger, buses, etc.).
California Energy Commission (Energy Commission) staff will conduct a public workshop on a pre-solicitation for medium- and heavy-duty (MHD) advanced vehicle technology demonstration projects. The purpose of this workshop is to seek input from stakeholders that will inform the MHD vehicle demonstration solicitation under the Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program (ARFVTP).
CaFCP staff will take part in the 2016 annual Charge Across Town EV Test Drive during Fleet Week and National Hydrogen Day on October 8-9 at Pier 27 in San Francisco, CA. FREE ‘ride and drives’ in the latest electric vehicles, including plug-in, battery, and fuel cell EVs #bestrideEVer!. CaFCP staff will have the 2016 Toyota Mirai, Hyundai Tucson FCV, Mercedes Benz BClass F-Cell in the test drive and the 2017 Honda Clarity on display. Staff will be on hand to discuss the growing hydrogen fueling network in cities across California and answer FAQs.

CaFCP will be on hand with the Hyundai Tucson fuel cell car to answer any questions about hydrogen filling stations and fuel cell vehicles (passenger, buses, etc.).
CaFCP staff will be teaming up with Fuel Cell Hydrogen & Energy Association (FCHEA) at the 26th Annual Society of Environmental Journalists Conference Thursday, September 22–Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Double Tree Hotel in Sacramento, CA. with the all new Toyota Mirai and Hyundai Tucson FCV. Attendees will have the opportunity to drive or ride in one.
