The Board will consider approving the 2022 Climate Change Scoping Plan (2022 Scoping Plan) along with considering whether to certify the Environmental Analysis prepared for the 2022 Scoping Plan (including adopting the California Environmental Quality Act findings and statement of overriding considerations). The plan recommends a suite of actions to reduce anthropogenic emissions by 85% below 1990 levels and achieve carbon neutrality in California no later than 2045.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29 AT 10:00AM. The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a workshop to discuss and receive stakeholder feedback on how to define, measure, and improve the benefits provided to communities by the CEC Clean Transportation Program (CTP). The CEC is committed to equity, which includes how funds are allocated.
This workshop continues the effort to ensure that CTP projects are not only located in disadvantaged and low-income communities but also that these communities benefit from CTP investments.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1 AT 10:00AM PACIFIC. The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a staff workshop to solicit feedback on the implementation of the new Clean Hydrogen Program created under Assembly Bill (AB) 209 (The Energy and Climate Change budget bill, Chapter 251, enacted in September 2022). This new program will contribute to economy-wide decarbonization by providing opportunities to accelerate clean hydrogen production and use.
